After seasons of relatively low-key 4 and 5 (great on their own, but very different from seasons 1, 2 and 3),
Weeds DVD seemed he was heading toward the exit. Honestly, if this series could go? Well, the answer is waiting in the immensely gratifying 6: th season. After the shocking events in the fifth season finale, Nancy and her band (less Celia, which is a blessing because the show did not need her more), is off the road. Sending signs of leakage was a risky move, but inspired, as it exhausts considerably, brings them into contact with crazy people and places (adding a good dose of humor lacking Season 5), adds a real sense of emergency and danger, and keep pace with cool and pleasant. What works best to send Nancy and Co. on the run, is that it allows us to see back is
Cold Case DVD, leaving the characters come to terms with what they have done over the years.
It is in this kind of self-reflection that the program is in a totally unexpected emotional. The finish here is not necessarily objectionable in terms of plot, but shocking that Nancy not emotionally, when you see it, never going to think I was in it. The sixth season of weeds is very different in most respects, but also brings all the shows of
The Office DVD in a great light. As we finally see what really happens on the surface with Nancy, Andy, Silas, Shane and yes, even Doug begin to understand her past (before I started), his actions during the series, then how they react during the sixth season. With the writing at its best, the quality is even better. Mary-Louise Parker is so fascinating and unsympathetic than ever that Nancy Botwin (despite the frustration you feel with him during the season is precisely calculated and put in discussion during the final).
Justin Kirk is really the front seat as a father figure and the leader, being the emotional terrain with families. Hunter Parrish as Silas to an obsession, pain, performance, demonstrating how Silas is really questioning his role in the family and what they really want in life. Alexander Gould as Shane is as dark as can be, but we also have the opportunity to see beyond the facade and in the soul of a tortured child. Kevin Nealon as Doug is not exactly necessary, but adds some nice touches and
Two and A Half Men DVD (at least for now) of his character is very touching. The sixth season also offers a fantastic array of guest stars including Linda Hamilton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, a very memorable and funny Richard Dreyfuss (in his first foray into television performance) and a lot of returning cast members from seasons history (how these characters are part of the story is very clever).
If you are a fan of the series, the sixth season of
Law and Order DVD will be very rewarding and exciting for you is a complex, certainly different, and the season of introspection that rewarded a hundredfold. A great show that keeps getting better.
